In the racing truck cab

8 November, 2011

Winners of competitions accompanying TATRA Road Show 2010 presentation event got in the Aleš Loprais´s special truck cab.

The current most successful Czech racer in the truck category became a guide and presentation driver for a few happy ones who had the possibility to experience joys and sorrows of a "hot" co-driver´s seat on the real racing TATRA truck. This happened not far from the town of Senica, Slovakia, on a sandy terrain. For this reason, the venue bears the name "the Slovak Sahara", and exactly this was the place where, within both regular presentation events and necessary testing, this time shock absorbers, the Instaforex Loprais Team drove the racing TATRA Jamal truck with a conventional cab – a truck which won this year´s Dakar race – the Silk Way Rallye. There was also another racing COE truck available driven by Tomáš Vraný within a sister Bonver Dakar Team.

The winning participants of the TATRA Road Show 2010 presentation event were leaving the Senica military grounds very satisfied as the racing TATRA trucks are able to go in the most difficult terrain at the speed exceeding 100 km/p. This extremely challenging racing is an opportunity to verify outstanding excellent vehicle performance, design genius and high durability of the heavy duty off-road TATRA trucks. Surely, no wonder, it is the racing trucks which practically test design solutions which are then included in series production. For instance, one of such examples is a pneumatic suspension system on all axles, which is one of the trump cards of the current state-of the-art products made as the TATRA PHOENIX model range by TATRA.
