TATRA trucks heading to Dakar!

3 January, 2012

The fourth year of the Africa Eco Race (Dec 27, 2011 – Jan 8, 2012) continues in the footsteps of the famous Dakar Rally founded by Thierry Sabine 33 years ago.

Participants of this race honor the founder’s original idea: to compete in the extremely difficult terrain of Africa, and to reach the final destination in the capital city of Senegal - Dakar!

Driving a tried and proven TATRA 815 DAKAR 2T0R45 racing truck, Tomáš Tomeček and his navigator Vojtěch Morávek want to repeat their last year’s victory in the truck category.

The LiveScore.com Racing Team’s fleet also includes a TATRA – T815 4x4 assistance truck with Petr Čapka and Rostislav Filip, and a media car with Jan Husák, Emil Baumgartner, and Vojtěch Morávek on board.

The Africa Eco Race route goes via France, Spain, Morocco, and Mauretania to Senegal – the same places as those which were a part of the famous Dakar Rally for more than thirty years.

The race organizers’ names of Rene Metge and Jean-Luise Schlesser, the former pilots and people who are the most competent to know that the Dakar Rally belongs to Africa,  guarantee  quality as well as a high difficulty level of this race.
