TATRA engine

A direct air-cooled V8 diesel engine with direct fuel injection (cylinder spacing angle 90 degrees), displacement of 12.7 liters, supercharged using a turbocharger and charge air cooler positioned directly above the engine.

The engine is equipped with a mechanically controlled in-line injection pump. Unique technical solutions include rollably mounted crankshaft, bolted from the individual segments.

The engine is offered in the emission specifications of Euro 2 (T3B-928 range), Euro 3 (T3C-928 range), Euro 4 and Euro 5 (T3D-928 range). To meet the strict emission limits set by Euro 4 and 5 standards, the SCR system is used, where oxidizing agent known under the trade name AdBlue is injected into the exhaust tract.

The performance parameters of the original directly air-cooled TATRA engines fall within the range of 230 kW - 325 kW and 1,400 Nm - 2,100 Nm respectively.

The advantage of the TATRA engines is the absence of complex electronic control and easy maintenance and serviceability

PACCAR MX engines

Modern 11- and 13-litre, liquid-cooled, in-line six-cylinder engines. To meet different emission standards, they are equipped with different components. The PACCAR MX 11 and MX13, Euro 6 engines are newly developed engines, equipped with exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), DPF particulate filter and SCR-based system for catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides and ammonia. They are equipped with a turbocharger with Variable Turbine Geometry VTG to optimize the engine power at low engine speeds. The PACCAR MX 13 Euro 5 engines use only the SCR system to meet the emission limits of this class.

The advantage of the PACCAR MX engine is their low weight, low fuel consumption and high torque at low engine speeds. The powerful MX engine brake is also available for the PACCAR MX engines, significantly reducing the load to the service brake and their wear.

Cummins engines

Liquid-cooled Cummins engines in the ISL range (up to 260 kW and 1,550 Nm) and the ISM range (up to 325 kW and 2,100 Nm) are also available to the customers. These are diesel 6-cylinder engines with a displacement of 8.85 liter and 10.8 liter respectively, turbocharged with charge air cooling. The Cummins engines comply with the Euro 3 - Euro 5 emission classes

The main advantages of the Cummins engines include their size and easy in-building into the TATRA FORCE (T815-7) and TATRA TERRA (T815-2) model chassis.
