TATRA PHOENIX at AUTOSTRADA-POLSKA 2013

21 May, 2013

TATRA PHOENIX is going to be introduced to Polish road-construction companies at the 19th edition of the exhibition for road construction industry AUTOSTRADA-POLSKA 2013 by Polish TATRA Dealers – company ASBUD and Firma WANICKI.

TATRA trucks used to be very reliable and helpful machines working in Poland and you can still meet the old “815” at many construction sites. TATRA brand returns to Polish market with the new model TATRA PHOENIX after years of stagnation with the sales of its trucks in Poland.

This exhibition is the “first night” for the TATRA PHOENIX in configuration 8x6 (2nd front axle non-driven). It is a tipper with the tipping body produced by renowned Polish producer KH-Kipper. The advantages of this configuration are lower curb weight (by up to 300 kg) and also lower fuel consumption with minimum savings of 2 liters per 100 km. In combination with a light combined suspension TATRA King Frame®, the vehicle curb weight in the tipper version is approaching or is entirely comparable with the curb weight of competitor vehicles in 8x4 drive design. Based on this, the productivity and efficiency of the truck is increased.

Another model TATRA PHOENIX, in standard configuration 8x8, is presented at the fair. This is the universal truck for the both off-road and on-road operations. Also this truck is equipped with the tipping body produced by KH-KIPPER, the rear tipper.

For the professional visitors are prepared testing rides at this edition of the AUTOSTRADA fair. Together with TARGI KIELCE, the organizers of the exhibition, we have prepared a testing track on which three TATRA demo trucks will be tested – 8x8 and two 6x6, one of them with automated AS-Tronic transmission. The automated transmission makes the ride more comfortable, optimize the engine operation in optimum that brings fuel savings and also the whole driveline protection and enables easier ride in the terrain.

A nice present has been prepared for all off-road truck races fans – together with our partner, Bonver Dakar Project we brought the Dakar racing special TATRA 815, 4x4 with Adam Stanek as driver.
