The commercial-technical documentation (CTD), which is a set of expert technical information provided in a comprehensible way to a wide, even non-technical, range of users, is an integral part of every product.
It contains the information necessary for the correct use of the product for its entire lifetime.Within the framework of the CTD, TATRA TRUCKS a.s. also provides other information such as item codification in accordance with NATO standards, the calculation of life cycle costs (LCC), and last but not least, trouble-free operation and maintenance recommendations.
Upon customer request we can perform other integrated logistics support activities in compliance with Def Stan 00-60.

These are publications provided by the manufacturer to its customers and repair organisations in compliance with valid regulations and standards. They contain information pertaining to the operability, maintainability and serviceability of products for the duration of their life cycle. The content of these publications must be comprehensive in respect to the purpose they are intended for.
The splitting of technical publications according to the manner of delivery:
Accompanying publications – always delivered as a part of the equipment of the relevant vehicle type in the language used at the destination of sale. These contain:
- User Manual
- Service book.
Other publications – delivered separately on the basis of servicing contracts, orders and specific contracts. These are sold by TATRA TRUCKS a.s. Spare Parts Sales and include:
- Spare parts catalogue
- Workshop guidelines,
- Special tools catalogue
- Standard times for repairs.
Teaching and training pictures
Teaching pictures are produced either as separate sets or as accessories to other teaching materials (CBT, films, textbooks).
The content and the structure of pictures are adapted for the training of drivers and workshop specialists. The pictures are produced in the appropriate resolution for printing to A0 format.
Teaching and training programmes for preparing drivers and workshop specialists - CBT (Computer Based Training)
CBT is special interactive teaching software for the preparation of drivers and workshop specialists.
CBT for the preparation of drivers
This is used for training through teaching, practicing and testing with the goal of mastering basic knowledge of the construction and practical activities during the operation and maintenance of a vehicle.
CBT for the preparation of workshop specialists
This is used for training by teaching, practicing and testing with the goal of mastering basic knowledge of the construction and practical activities when performing technical maintenance and common repairs at Levels 1 and 2 both on stationary equipment and mobile repair equipment.

Films for the preparation of drivers
These enable illustrative teaching and training with the goal of mastering basic knowledge of the construction of selected vehicle assemblies and practical activities during the operation and maintenance of a vehicle.
Films for the preparation of workshop specialists
These enable illustrative teaching and training with the goal of mastering basic knowledge of the construction and practical activities when performing technical maintenance and common repairs at Levels 1 and 2 both on stationary equipment and mobile repair equipment.
This continues the User Manual and focuses on the special training of drivers with the goal of using the full potential of the vehicle, particularly under extreme operating conditions.
The driving simulator is intended for basic professional preparation and improving driver skills. A cab from an original TATRA modified for connection to a movable base with three degrees of freedom (3DOF) is used for the driving simulator.
The driving simulator software is able to simulate driving in a city, including traffic-light equipped intersections, on a highway, off-road, fording, driving at night and under poor visibility (rain, snow, fog) and driving in extreme climatic conditions (snow, black ice, etc.)
TATRA TRUCKS a.s. codifies items in compliance with the principles and procedures stipulated by NATO authorities (the NATO AC/135 Council) and in compliance with AcodP1. At the present time more than 4,000 items have been codified with reference to TATRA TRUCKS a.s.
TATRA TRUCKS a.s. has been assigned Company Identification Number (NCAGE) 5990G in the codification system.
LCC – Life Cycle Costs
Upon customer request, TATRA, a. s. will calculate the costs over the entire life cycle of a product.
The calculation is divided to the following stages relating to the product life cycle:
- Conception and specification of requirements stage
- Design and development stage
- Production stage
- Installation stage
- Operation and maintenance stage (maintenance includes both preventive and corrective maintenance)
Settlement (disposal) after the end of the product life cycle stage.
An independent field associated with LCC is "Trouble-free Operation and Maintainability". TATRA TRUCKS a.s. implements this field in compliance with AQAP 2110 and other international standards. The indicators that we monitor and manage include MTBF, MTBCF, MART, etc.
