2010 revenues of TATRA exceeded the level of CZK 2.5 billion

TATRA, a. s., revenues from sales of trucks, spare parts, services and goods amounted to CZK 2,575 million in 2010. Total revenues achieved by the TATRA Group and its subsidiary companies reached the amount of CZK 4,281 million.
KOPŘIVNICE (May 10, 2011)
The total consolidated revenues of TATRA Group in the amount of CZK 3,835 million include revenues generated from sales of products, work and services including trucks and spare parts, as well as revenues obtained from external orders of the Group and its subsidiaries. The Tafonco, a.s, company achieved a revenue in the amount of CZK 505 million last year, the Taforge, a.s., company’s total revenue amounted to CZK 375 million, and the Tawesco, s.r.o., company reached a total revenue level of CZK 963 million in 2010.
Compared to 992 trucks sold in 2009, the sales of TATRA trucks increased to 1,082 pieces in 2010. “While 2009 sales were strongly affected by the world economic crisis and represent the weakest result in the modern history of TATRA, the increased 2010 sales could be understood as a recovery of TATRA’s traditional markets, mainly abroad,” stated Ronald Adams, TATRA, a.s., CEO.
In 2010, the TATRA Group managed to return the EBITDA back to the positive amount of CZK 148 million. This result is even more valuable because the planned EBITDA amount (CZK 138 million) was not only achieved, but also exceeded by CZK 10 million. One of the main pillars of the company’s Business Plan for 2011 is to maintain these positive EBITDA amounts. There also was a significant decrease to CZK 105 million in the amount of TATRA’s loss last year. Compared to 2009, when the loss amounted to CZK 588 million, this improvement represents the amount of CZK 483 million.
After crucial organizational changes made in 2008 and 2009, the Group also stabilized the number of its employees. Last year, the TATRA Group employed 2,418 workers, 1,042 of them at TATRA, a.s. Compared to 2009, there was a slight growth in the Group’s headcount in 2010.
