Success at the IDEX 2011 Exhibition

More than a thousand defence technology exhibitors met at the IDEX International Exhibition in Abu Dhabi (UAE) from 20 to 24 February 2011. TATRA, a.s. was one of the most important. Its presentation stand attracted more than 60,000 visitors.

TATRA a.s. presented itself in the Defence segment with three vehicles on the exhibition stand. Moreover, one of the vehicles also put on a good show at the demonstration polygon.
Visitors could inspect a T 810-1R0R26 6x6.1R platform truck with a load capacity of 5 t and specially designed for desert operations. This medium-heavy vehicle successfully passed several official military tests in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Another vehicle on the stand was a T 815-7L0R59 4x4.1R platform truck with a load capacity of 8.5 t. This heavy truck was equipped with a liquid-cooled engine and automatic transmission. The third exhibited vehicle was a T 815-7N0R39 6x6.1R hook loader with an extension platform and a load capacity of 14.5 t. This truck was equipped with a liquid-cooled engine and automatic transmission. The vehicle is one of the first results of strategic cooperation with NAVISTAR DEFENCE from the USA.
Our company was represented by a T 815-6 8x8 platform truck with a hydraulic arm which regularly drove at the demonstration polygon. This was a heavy four-axle truck introduced along with more than one thousand other trucks (1,127) in various versions in the UAE Army some time ago.
