A few days ago, Tatra Trucks company achieved another great success. For the first time in its history, it won the Red Dot award in the Product Design category, even twice. Tatra Force vehicles of the latest third generation were decorated with this award, which is one of the most prestigious internationally in the field of design, while a version with a four-door cab was presented, as well as a version of the development line known as e-Drive with an electric traction motor and hydrogen fuel cells.

TATRA PHOENIX – on the way to Belgium

TATRA PHOENIX - heavy duty, all-wheel-drive (AWD) truck, developed and produced by TATRA, one of the oldest automotive producers in the world, is coming to the Belgian market.

Almost one year after its success as the highest-ranked AWD truck at the International Truck of The Year 2012 held in November 2011 in Kortrijk and after proving itself in real operations in several customer fleets, TATRA PHOENIX is going to be presented dynamically for the first time to its potential users in Belgium and France.
The new product line TATRA PHOENIX offers its customers in Belgium and France an outstanding transport solution, based on more than 160 years of automotive history of TATRA company and on its continuous development of its unique chassis design. Combination of the high-performing TATRA chassis with the efficient powertrain and comfortable cab from the world-renowned producers is an excellent solution for mixed operations, demanding work in heavy duty terrain conditions or for such applications road maintenance services and transport of wood.
Distribution of TATRA PHOENIX in Belgium is going to be through the TURBOTRUCKS Group and Garage MIOLI, part of the Willy van Doorne Group.
The modernized unique TATRA chassis with new transfer case and pneumatic suspension of all axles, completed with a DAF CF 85 cab (short or sleeper), PACCAR MX engine with 265–375 kW output and ZF Ecosplit transmission (manual or AS-Tronic-automated) signals the indisputable dawn of a new era for commercial customers, business partners and supporters.
TATRA PHOENIX maintains the tradition of all-wheel drive with the possibility to engage or disengage the front-wheel drive at any time while driving. Vehicles are available in standard configuration 4x4, 6x6, 8x8 and now also 8x6. The vehicle can be operated in the most difficult terrain without problems and now is also better adapted to the mixed operations.
