From February 20 to 24, the United Arab Emirates will host IDEX 2023, one of the world's largest defence technology and engineering exhibitions. Traditionally, companies belonging to the Czechoslovak Group (CSG) holding and Tatra Trucks will not be missing among the exhibitors.
The latest generation of the highly successful TATRA PHOENIX Euro 6 truck will be launched in April this year. Made by the oldest Czech automotive producer (and today the only Czech-owned producer of motor vehicles), the 2018 model will offer customers even more effective solutions for their transportation needs.
Four months ago, TATRA TRUCKS launched a new scheme for owners of older TATRA vehicles in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. TATRA TRUCKS has completed production and shipment of the all time longest and heaviest TATRA vehicle. This is a chassis for special drilling rig, installed on the vehicle by German manufacturer STREICHER Drilling Technology. The vehicle will be used for exploratory drilling in difficult terrain. Gross vehicle weight of the completed vehicle is approximately 84 tons.
In summer this year, a special truck TATRA PHOENIX 8x8 was built in collaboration with the Customer Center and Technical Department of TATRA TRUCKS a.s. for a Norwegian customer who has already been successfully operating several vehicles of standard version.
